2DTG offers three encoding/decoding software packages of DataMatrix SDK (ISO/IES 16022) under our trade name icEveryCode™:
| icDMatrix DS | — «Standard» SDK version, allowing to read a single Data Matrix per scan (single mode); |
| icDMatrix Pro | — «Professional» SDK version, providing for a number of additional “enhancement” options compare with the “Standard” one: |
| Turbo Matrix — | High speed decoding option (2-3x faster than robust version) for the applications where decoding time is critical and image quality is reasonably good. |
| Peen Matrix — | Decoding SDK, optimized for "Dot-Peen" applications. |
| Multi Matrix — | Multiple Mode allows to decode up to 100 Data Matrix barcodes in one image via variable setting. |
| Fax Matrix — | Decodes Data Matrix symbols within a fax or tiff images. |
| Mirror Matrix — | Arbitrary Mirror Mode. |
| QP Matrix — | Evaluates Quality Parameters of the Data Matrix in accordance with ISO 15415. |
| icDMatrix E | — Encoding SDK that writes the Data Matrix symbol; |

"Real" sample images (with noisy background, border destruction, blurred, etc.) can be used to compare our decoding libraries with the similar programs of our competitors. Such analysis can also be performed utilizing our On-line Decoder.

icDMatrix-E is remarkable for minimizing the symbol size. The special latch characters which are used to compact various parts of the message are inserted into the messages in the optimal way. The encoding part of the software developed by 2DTG is astonishing for using the best optimization technique with the purpose of minimizing the symbol size. There are special latch characters which are used to switch from basic ASCII encoding to one of the other encoding schemes, for example two digits may be packed into one byte, three letters of English alphabet into two bytes, and soon. The purpose is to insert the latch characters into input messages in the optimal way.
Data Matrix is a unique 2D machine-readable symbology that was developed by CIMatrix (USA) in 1987 and released for public use. The 2D Data Matrix code has developed into an industry standard. This is mainly the result of its superior error correction, due to Reed Solomon correction algorithms used in Data Matrix which can correct a hefty amount of corrupted bytes.
The main merits of Data Matrix are as follows:
Because of these merits Data Matrix has proven to be the most space efficient of all of the two-dimensional symbologies and this type of data matrix is the most widely implemented matrix symbology in the greatest diversity of applications and industries, such as Aerospace, Automotive, Banking, Clinical, Electronics, Insurance, IT, Pharmaceutical, Postal, Semi-Conductor, and Defense.
